New Kings League MENA: New Region, Same Madness
The league created by Gerard Piqué together with SURJ Sports Investment launches a new competition in the MENA region to expand its Universe

The Kings Universe keeps growing at full throttle. After taking Europe and the Americas by storm, the league now sets its sights on a new frontier: the Middle East and North Africa.
Saudi Arabia will be the heart of Kings League MENA, kicking off in late 2025 with a format that’s already made history — and is ready to shake things up again.
Open tryouts, legendary streamers as team presidents, wild rules, and a fired-up community. The Kings formula is adapting to the pace, energy, and ambition of the MENA region — and it’s shaping up to be another global sensation.
A new galaxy of presidents
In classic Kings style, the big reveal happened before the do-or-die match of SHoNgxBоNg’s SXB FC in Round 2 of the Kings World Cup Clubs Paris 2025. And what a reveal: some of the MENA region’s biggest digital icons are stepping up as team presidents:
- SHoNgxBoNg (27.6M followers), a Saudi icon and two-time Joy Awards winner
- Drb7h (8.6M), also from Saudi Arabia and an esports pioneer
- Ilyas Elmaliki, Morocco’s top streamer with a huge fanbase after his Italian adventures
- Tarboun, an Egyptian legend making a glorious return
- Maherco, a PUBG and Fortnite veteran from Jordan
- Fwaz (Kuwait) and Absi (Jordan), faces of the region’s rising digital stars
And this is just the beginning. More president reveals, football stars, and major surprises are expected before the big launch. Follow Kings on YouTube, X, and TikTok to stay in the loop.
A league with Kings DNA
Kings League MENA will keep the original DNA: Shootout Penalties, Double Goals, President Penalties, and wild cards — all adapted to the local flavor. The action kicks off in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where the first Split will be played.
Nonstop action from the Cage Kick-Off to the 18th-minute Dice Roll, with viral-worthy Double Goal minutes. And yes — every matchday will be an online spectacle.
The numbers speak for themselves: in 2024 alone, the Kings racked up over 7 billion impressions and 400 million interactions on social media. Finals have sold out legendary venues like Camp Nou (90,000 people) and Juventus Stadium (40,000 fans). And the community just keeps growing.
Open tryouts and a ticket to the World Cup
Want to play in the Kings? Now’s your chance. Registrations for Kings League MENA tryouts are open. Anyone can sign up, but only the best will make it to the regional Draft. The chosen ones will become the next stars of a league built to spotlight real talent.
Top teams will qualify for the Kings World Cup Clubs, and standout players will represent their nations in the Kings World Cup Nations. The dream is closer than ever.
