Said Elaouny’s Journey: From Casablanca to the Kings League

The journey of Said Elaouny, Morocco’s number 11, to the Kings World Cup Nations has been marked by personal and professional challenges. His story is a testament to perseverance and love for football.

I left football to work in Casablanca for four years to support my family, but I always kept my passion,” Elaouny shared. This love for the sport helped him through a tough period in his life.

During COVID, my mother fell ill, and I stopped working to move close to home and take care of her. That’s when I returned to playing in the streets and started filming videos of challenges that made me famous in Morocco. Thanks to those, I’m here now. I still can’t believe it.”

“Our goal is to reach the final in Turin”

“Our Goal Is to Reach the Final in Turin” Elaouny recalls how his family advised him to leave football behind to focus on work or studies. “They told me I had no future in football if I didn’t play in a top-tier league. But despite everything, I never stopped dreaming. I always wanted to play.”

Today, the Moroccan player is on the brink of glory. “Ilyas El Maliki gave me the opportunity to play in the Kings League, and I will always be grateful. We are making history. Our goal is to reach the final in Turin.”

This opportunity is more than just about football. “It’s incredible for me. Seeing players like Piqué or Kun Agüero and being close to them is something I only saw on TV.”

Aiming for the final and a title with his national team, Elaouny left one final thought for those who, like him, dream of becoming professional players.

“No one can say it’s impossible. No one. I recorded my videos under the scorching sun, enduring the heat, and I never gave up. I felt something good was coming, and thanks to God, this opportunity arrived.”
