DesimpaiN and Furia FC can’t afford to lose: Kings Cup Brazil Matchday 4 schedule

Lose on Monday 9 November and DesimpaiN and Furia FC are out of the Kings Cup Brazil. The reigning Split champions take on G3X FC at 18:00 (Brasília time), and Neymar and Cris Guedes’ side close out Matchday 4 at 21:00 against Dibrados FC at the Trident Arena in São Paulo.

The round follows Dendele FC’s 2-8 thrashing of DesimpaiN and Group A’s 3-0 Challenger sweep. With the series settled, Group A gets four qualifying spots and Group B three. Capim FC, LOUD SC and Podpah Funkbol Clube are already through, and Podpah clinch first place in Group A if they beat LOUD SC, the spot that goes straight to the Semifinals.

Matchday 4 schedule

Monday 9 November, Brasília time:

• 17:00 · Nyvelados FC vs Dendele FC (Group B)
• 18:00 · G3X FC vs DesimpaiN (Group B)
• 19:00 · Capim FC vs Fluxo FC (Challenger)
• 20:00 · Podpah Funkbol Clube vs LOUD SC (Group A)
• 21:00 · Furia FC vs Dibrados FC (Group A)

Dendele FC qualify with a win over Nyvelados FC

Paulinho o Loko and LuquEt4’s Dendele FC come in off a 2-8 win over DesimpaiN, with two goals from Lucas ‘L7’ and two more from their goalkeeper, Gustavo Húngaro. A win at 17:00 puts them through: they would finish the group stage on three wins, a total only Capim FC and G3X FC can also reach in Group B.

Falcão and Nyvi Estephan’s Nyvelados FC have lost both their group games, the latest 7-4 to Capim FC despite a Léo ‘Gol’ hat-trick. Standing in their way is Lucas ‘L7’, the Kings Cup Brazil’s top scorer with 5 goals, level with LOUD SC’s Felipe Viana.

DesimpaiN face elimination against G3X FC

Renato Vicente’s side have lost both their Group B games and were 0-5 down after 12 minutes last time out. Lose to G3X FC and they are eliminated: Capim FC, Dendele FC and G3X FC would all have at least two wins, one more than DesimpaiN could still reach.

Gaules and Kelvin’s G3X FC lost 2-4 to Dibrados FC in the Challenger, with Aleix Martí missing a Shootout. They have one win and one defeat in the group, and if G3X FC and Dendele FC both win, Group B is settled, with Capim FC, Dendele FC and G3X FC going through.

Capim FC and Fluxo FC meet in a Challenger already decided

Jon Vlogs, Luva de Pedreiro and Racha’s Capim FC top Group B with three wins from three, and their goalkeeper, Marcos ‘Bolivia’, has made 39 saves, more than anyone in the competition. Group A already won the Challenger 3-0, so the 19:00 game doesn’t change how the spots are shared out.

Cerol, Nobru, Toguro and Benja’s Fluxo FC lost the Shootouts to Podpah Funkbol Clube and have one win and two defeats in Group A. Their fate is settled two hours later: if Dibrados FC beat Furia FC, Fluxo FC are through as well.

Podpah Funkbol Clube and LOUD SC fight for the direct Semifinal spot

Igão, Michel Elias and MC Hariel’s Podpah Funkbol Clube are Group A’s only unbeaten side after winning the Shootouts against Fluxo FC, with two goals from match MVP Vini Alexandre. Beat LOUD SC and they finish first even if they lose on the final matchday, because Dibrados FC, the only team who could match them on three wins, lost 2-4 to Podpah.

Coringa and Brabox’s LOUD SC lead the Group A standings after coming from 4-5 down against Furia FC, with goals from Felipe Viana in the 45th minute and Andson ‘Romarinho’ in the 47th. This is their last group game: a win leaves them on three victories, and then they wait on Podpah and Dibrados FC on Matchday 5.

Furia FC must beat Dibrados FC

Neymar and Cris Guedes’ Furia FC have lost both their group games, the latest despite a Leleti Garcia hat-trick. Lose to Dibrados FC and they are out: at best they could finish level on one win with Fluxo FC, who beat them in the Shootouts on Matchday 1.

Allan Stag and Lucas Tylty’s Dibrados FC sealed the Challenger with the 2-4 win over G3X FC, with Well Andrade named MVP. A win sends them through and completes Group A’s four qualifiers: Podpah Funkbol Clube, LOUD SC, Dibrados FC and Fluxo FC. Matchday 5 is on Monday 16 November and the Quarterfinals on the 23rd.
